Dance Ballet Committee:
  1. 🌟What is Sapta Tandavam about?                                                                       A mesmerizing dance ballet inspired by the cosmic dances of Lord Shiva, portraying the seven sacred Tandavams through powerful storytelling, expressive abhinaya, and classical choreography.

  2. ⏰ When does the program start, and how long will it last?                                  The performance begins at 6:00 PM                                                                           🕰️ Duration: Approximately 40 minutes

  3. 💃 What dance style will be performed?
      The presentation is deeply rooted in Bharatanatyam – the ancient classical Indian dance form, known for its purity, grace, and powerful abhinaya, bringing alive the divine energy of Shiva’s Tandavam  

  4. 🎙️ Will there be narration?
    Yes, subtle narration and visual cues will gently guide the audience through the spiritual significance of each Tandavam.

  5. 🌟 Guess how many dancers will light up the stage together?
    Did you know? 30 dancers will grace the stage at once, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of devotion, rhythm, and energy                                                            . ✨ Come and experience NRIVA 8GC in all its grandeur!"

 
Beauty Pagent FAQ
Q: What is the purpose of the Beauty Pageant, When will the Beauty pageant take place?
A: The Beauty Pageant is a talent-based showcase designed to celebrate our community values. It encourages participants to step forward, build confidence, and serve as role models within our community. NRIVA chapters have a long-standing tradition of hosting Beauty Pageants(BP) contests during NRIVA day events , Preliminaries are conducted locally at the Chapter level. Finals will be performed live at the 8th Global Convention location.
Q: What are the eligibility criteria for the Beauty pageant?
Answer: Eligibility is based on  Age & Categories:
Princess & Prince: Ages 7–12
Yuvarani & Yuvaraja: Ages 13–21
Maha Rani & Maha Raja: Ages 21+
VJodi: All Couples (Both spouses must be below the age of 60)
Golden Age: All Couples with at least one spouse aged 60+ (New: Held only during Convention)
Q: What is the primary focus of the Golden Age category?
A: Unlike youth categories, the Golden Age division celebrates "Inner Beauty" and "The Age of Elegance." Judges look for maturity, poise, and the story of your life journey together as a couple.
Q: What are the specific judging criteria that will be used to evaluate the contestants?
A: Judging Criteria: Fashion Walk and Talent. Contestants will be judged on a comprehensive Three-part circuit:
  • Introduction (50s): Brief overview of identity, passions, and strengths.
  • Western Round (50s): Fashion walk in the suggested dress code. 
  • Questionnaire Round(50s):Judges will ask 1–2 questions per participant.
Q: What happens if I win in the preliminary round?
Answer: All winners and runners-up across all chapters are eligible for the finale during the 8th Global Convention in New England. Registration for the convention is required to compete in the final round in Springfield, MA.
